Operations manager

Job Description

Role Purpose:

A hands-on operational leadership role responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality service to both external and internal customers. The Operations Manager actively works alongside the team on the warehouse floor, supporting daily tasks while motivating and driving continuous improvement. The role champions Health & Safety, upholds BRCG standards, and oversees site operations, vehicles, and the performance of the Operations team. This is an all-encompassing role that involves the management of the site, vehicles and the operations team.

Reporting to: Managing Director, with dotted line to Head of Commercial (on Technical/BRCG)

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

Lead by example through a visible, hands-on presence across the site.

Embed a strong Can Do attitude throughout the department.

Work directly with Warehouse Operatives, Drivers, and the Operations Administrator to support daily operations.

Conduct daily team meetings and maintain clear communication.
