As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will have the chance to build confidence in classroom management, refine your teaching skills, and gain valuable insight into the workings of different school environments. You will work closely with experienced educators, receive guidance from supportive mentors, and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ academic progress and personal growth.
Early Career Teacher Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse pupils
* Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team planning
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage academic achievement
* Contribute to school life, including events and enrichment activities
* Engage in CPD and reflect on teaching practice for continuous growth
* Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies
Requirements for the Role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awarded through a recognised route
* Sound knowledge of the national curriculum
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with school staff
* A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching
* Updated CV and Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
