Job Title: Yard Team Member Reporting To: UK Environmental Manager Shift: Day Shift from Sunday to Wednesday Location: Lantmännen Unibake, Wallis Way, Eastcotts, Bedford, MK42 0PE We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Yard Team Member to join our team at Lantmännen Unibake. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of yard operations while maintaining high standards in waste management and site cleanliness. Skills & Requirements Key Responsibilities As a Yard Team Member, you will be responsible for: Emptying product waste bins into compactors and ensuring they are cleaned before returning to the bakery. Managing clean packing waste by using the appropriate baler and storing baled waste on the trailer. Handling office waste, separating general and recyclable materials into the correct skips. Monitoring and reporting compactor levels, LPG, red diesel, and consumables daily. Maintaining site safety during adverse weather by clearing snow and salting paths, car parks, and yard areas. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in FLT driving. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of continuous improvement processes and the seven types of waste. Ability to follow strict operational procedures and safety protocols.
