Position Overview:
We’re looking for a resourceful and commercially astute Business Development Manager to drive customer acquisition across a variety of outbound channels. This role goes beyond traditional sales - it's about owning and experimenting with multiple growth levers, including outbound sales, affiliate partnerships, and cold outreach campaigns, to identify scalable customer acquisition methods.
You’ll be expected to rigorously test and refine these channels to understand what works, while managing the full customer journey—from first contact to funding. Key Responsibilities:
* Drive customer acquisition through outbound sales efforts, partnership development, and experimental campaigns.
* Design and execute structured experiments to test new customer acquisition channels (e.g., direct outreach, affiliate/referral networks, cold email, outbound calling, LinkedIn, paid ads).
* Build a pipeline of qualified leads, manage the full sales cycle, and convert prospects into funded Lenkie customers.
* Identify patterns, learnings, and insights from campaigns to refine strategy and improve conversion rates.
* Collaborate with marketing, credit, and account management teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from initial contact through to funding.
* Track performance metrics across all channels to assess ROI and scale what works.
* Create and implement an outbound playbook in order to scale successful channels.
Qualifications/required skills:
* 2-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships is required, ideally in financial services, fintech, or B2B SaaS.
* Strong commercial mindset—you know how to uncover opportunities and convert leads into revenue.
* Proven ability to manage the full sales funnel from prospecting to close.
* Analytical and experimental mindset—you’re comfortable testing new approaches and using data to drive decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you build rapport quickly and know how to influence decision-makers.
* Comfortable using CRM tools and managing outreach campaigns with precision and structure.
* Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
