The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Valuation Surveyor (Surveyor or Senior Surveyor level) to join a well-established team based in Bristol, covering the South West and South Wales. This is a dynamic and client-facing role, with exposure to a broad range of commercial, mixed-use, and residential property valuations—primarily for loan security, but also for accounts, portfolio review, and other purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with a range of clients, including lenders and property owners
Conduct detailed inspections and valuations of commercial, mixed-use, and residential property assets
Produce high-quality valuation reports with clear methodologies, market commentary, and recommendations
Analyse sales evidence, market trends, and economic factors to support accurate appraisals
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand client needs and provide informed, professional advice
Work independently on standard valuations and seek guidance on more complex issues when necessary
Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, standards, and RICS Red Book guidelines
Keep up to date with developments in the property market, valuation techniques, and legal changes
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
Degree-educated in a relevant discipline
MRICS qualified
RICS Registered Valuer
Experience & Skills:
Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach to valuation work
Demonstrable experience in the UK real estate market, ideally within a consultancy or valuation-focused role
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Skilled in client communication and relationship management
Familiarity with valuation tools (e.g. Argus Enterprise) is preferred—training can be provided
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
