Job Title: Marketing Executive
Location: Tynemouth Aquarium – Tynemouth

Hours of Work: 24 hours per week
Salary: £27,060.80 pro rata, £ per annum
This is a position for someone who enjoys getting things done, where your decisions count and your work drives visitors through the door of our wonderful aquarium.
This is a generalist, marketing role for a visitor attraction that is open every day except Christmas Day. It requires someone who is confident, adaptable, comfortable making decisions and exudes positivity.
Your role is to communicate our aquarium experience, delivering engaging timely marketing that excites readers, and drives visits and sales.
Responsibilities are varied from capturing content and posting to social media, organising and executing the marketing plan, briefing designers to develop visually appealing graphics, working with digital agencies to plan and execute paid media campaigns, writing and scheduling email campaigns, updating the website. And of course, tracking performance and results.
This role suits someone who enjoys pace, variety and accountability. You 'll need to be comfortable switching between tasks, making decisions quickly and communicating confidently with colleagues, agencies and senior managers.

Person Specification
Please note the following essential criteria are required to be successful in gaining this post at recruitment and to be able to effectively undertake the duties required.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high standard of English
* Self-motivated, excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Keen interest in social media, able to identify trends and adapt accordingly.
* Confident to interact on a face-to face basis as as email and by telephone
* Positive in outlook
* Competent in using Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, Outlook, along with Canva, Google analytical tools
* Confident to use own initiative and able to think flexibly
* Desirable to have relevant marketing/communication qualifications or work experience in a relevant area
