* Responsible for fiber optics network field activity, Long haul and metro, Transport and Routers
* Implementation of long haul and metro network augmentation, coordination and installation
* Work with Network Planning to provide Field perspective to network deployment as well as to provide expertise in deployments.
* Organize projects with contractors and internal staff
* Qualifications: travel by car and/or plane 20%+of time, remote office the rest of the time, at least 5+ years' experience on telecommunication networks
* Required
o Working knowledge on telecom infrastructure.
o Experience in the use of optical test equipment: power meters, OTDRs, OSAs, and interpretation of test results
o Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
o High-energy individual with interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate peers, and drive project to completion
o Field experience in DWDM / SDH / IP networks

o Experience managing vendors and carriers
o Successful project management experience.
o Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, certifications, or training
