The Contact Management Department are looking for someone to undertake a range of tasks related to the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) Security System Policy.
About the role
You will vet alarm company personnel via interrogation of the Police National Computer, maintain the live alarms database in relation to monitored alarms, register alarm applications including receipt, vetting and if necessary, rejection and alarm card creation as well as maintaining the force compliant companies list which includes the processing of new applications for compliant status and records audits with existing companies.
You will be responsible for maintaining an effective filing system, updating appropriate indices and a variety of departmental files, provide an effective electronic document research and retrieval service as required, interrogate alarm records and produce reports for submission to the National Police Chiefs Council. Responding appropriately to telephone enquiries that come into the team and re-direct if necessary using relevant systems to raise monthly invoices for Alarm Companies will be required.
Part of this role will be to provide a range of statistical information relating to all Security Systems and Business Support functions, assist in the site postal services, ensuring the prompt and accurate distribution of mail across the site and to manage and maintain accurate records of staff assets, including locker keys, car passes, ID cards and headsets.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 2 (3 passes including English) OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.
Essential Experience
Proven administrative experience in a busy office environment where the post has demonstrated his/her organisational skills and ability to manage staff and meet deadlines.
Experience of computerised or manual record keeping systems.
