Hayley 24/7 Engineering is a fast-growing provider of rapid and effective mechanical engineering solutions across all industry sectors.
As part of our continued expansion, we’re looking for a proactive and reliable Labourer / Workshop Assistant to support our busy team in Dudley.
This role is ideal for someone hands-on, eager to learn, and looking for genuine progression opportunities within a fast-paced engineering environment.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our operations team, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting engineers across all departments
* Supporting occasional on-site jobs
* Completing paperwork as required
* Providing friendly and helpful customer support
* Packing and palletising goods ready for transport
* General housekeeping and maintaining a clean workshop/yard
* Carrying out vehicle checks and basic maintenance
* Loading bay ownership and responsibility for goods-in/goods-out
* Jet washing and cleaning jobs as needed
* Following company processes and procedures
* Working to QS9000, ISO14001 & 18001 standards

What We’re Looking For
* Forklift trained (or willingness to train)
* Overhead crane trained (or willingness to train)
* Customer-focused attitude
* Strong understanding of good housekeeping practices
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Knowledge of Quality, Health & Safety & Environmental standards
* A natural team player
* GCSE or equivalent
