Ophthalmic Outpatients at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is inviting dedicated professionals to join our busy Eye Clinic. The role operates under the direction and supervision of the Nursing team, ensuring high‑quality patient care.
Responsibilities
* Participate as integral members of the team to help provide a quality service.
* Promote and implement practices conducive to the development of high‑quality patient care, providing professional support and guidance to all service users.
* Collaborate with senior colleagues to identify, support, and promote practice developments.
* Act as a role model for all staff in the pursuit of clinical excellence and support the provision of a high‑quality service.
* Ensure practices of self and others are in accordance with the NMC Code and work within limits of competence.
* Maintain a competent range of clinical skills to participate in Enhanced Clinical Skills and be aware of extended role status within the area of responsibility.
* Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines relating to Nursing TNA/RNA, AP practice across the Ophthalmology department.
* Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, the multidisciplinary team, supporting services, and appropriate hospital departments; advocate for patients as necessary.
* Maintain full working knowledge of all equipment in use in the clinical area, reporting faults and educating staff in its use.
