Overview
This role plays a key part in helping The Pensions Regulator deliver on its purpose by ensuring plans, progress and performance are clear, joined‑up and focused on real outcomes. Working closely with the COO, Executive Directors and their teams, you will shape and manage TPR’s organisation‑wide plans and ensure progress is measured and reported in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities
Lead corporate planning and performance reporting across annual and medium‑term horizons, including major outputs such as the Corporate Plan, Business Plan and Annual Report and Accounts. Support transparent decision‑making at Executive Committee, Board and government levels, using clear analysis and assurance rather than jargon. Bring people together across directorates, acting as a trusted partner to understand priorities, improve processes and communicate progress clearly. Contribute to the ongoing development of TPR’s central planning function, building effective ways of working, learning and continuous improvement.
Role Criteria
* Extensive experience managing enterprise‑wide plans aligned to strategic direction
* Experience leading end‑to‑end corporate performance measurement and reporting cycles
* Demonstrable ability to analyse and assure operational data for performance reporting
* Strong experience building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships at all levels
* Experience developing and delivering clear internal communications and engagement content
* Experience managing operational plans using tools such as Excel, Planner and Power BI
* Knowledge of performance measurement and evaluation frameworks used in planning
* Ability to work effectively in unstructured environments, using systems thinking and continuous learning
