About the Role

DP World in the UK is at the heart of Britain’s trading future, providing the right trading infrastructure, smart logistical solutions and the benefits of freeport status to our customers. An excellent opportunity has opened within the Operations Team for a UK Operations Product Support Lead.

Location: Stanford Le Hope – On site

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm

Interviews will be organised in the new year

How you will contribute:

1. Manage relationships with third-party system vendors (., Camco, ABB, Teletrac) and ensure alignment with operational needs and global standards
2. Negotiate contracts, manage SLAs, review vendor performance and act as escalation point for issues
3. Coordinate maintenance schedules, upgrades and patches with minimal disruption
4. Configure systems for equipment deployment and monitor performance, leading root cause analysis
5. Maintain system readiness during peak periods and recommend changes based on priorities and growth
6. Identify and deliver system enhancements and new features in collaboration with vendors and internal teams
7. Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and manage UAT, rollout and adoption
8. Act as systems lead for terminal expansions and new deployments, defining requirements and mitigating risks
9. Support audits on governance, access controls and software lifecycle management
10. Provide out-of-hours support for critical systems and manage incident resolution based on impact
11. Deliver daily operational IT/system support and maintain clear communication during incidents
12. Review system performance, identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
13. Deploy automation and analytics for proactive maintenance and KPI monitoring
14. Maintain governance frameworks, dashboards and reporting mechanisms
15. Engage users for feedback, prioritise issues and execute improvements
16. Standardise systems and processes across UK terminals for consistency and scalability
17. Organise knowledge-sharing workshops and coordinate joint projects aligned with group strategy

What you will bring:

18. Degree in Computer Science or related field (desirable).
19. Process improvement certification (., Lean, Agile) is a plus.
20. Background in Transportation or Logistics.
21. Strong knowledge of Container Terminal Operations and TOS.
22. Experience in business process modelling and UAT.
23. Familiarity with software lifecycle and change management.
24. Skilled in handling live system issues and customer service.

NOTE: All of our roles are subject to the below:

25. Eligibility to work in the UK.
26. A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.
27. No unspent criminal convictions.
28. Due to manufacturing guidelines on equipment and site safety critical health and safety requirements, we have strict weight and medical requirements that need to be met and maintained. For our safety critical roles health and medical and fitness checks are performed. Requirements include, but are not limited to, weight, height, blood pressure and hearing.
29. We may close our roles early, depending on the number of applications received.
