An exciting opportunity has opened up for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team across our Shrewsbury or Telford site.
Working with leading brands including Vauxhall, Omoda, Jaecoo, Chery, and within a Stellantis-authorised environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in a modern, fast-paced workshop.
In this role, youll play a key part in delivering exceptional vehicle care carrying out inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to the highest standards. Working alongside a skilled and motivated team, youll help ensure every vehicle is prepared to perfection, reinforcing our commitment to quality, efficiency, and outstanding customer satisfaction.
Whether based in Shrewsbury or Telford, youll benefit from working with a wide range of multi-brand vehicles, supported by the latest tools, technology, and training, with opportunities to further develop your technical expertise including MOT certification if not already qualified.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Hours:
Telford:8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday i.e. 42.5 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).
Shrewsbury: Monday to Thursday - 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, Friday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, i.e. 41.5 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid).
Salary: Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).
Key Responsibilities:
Follow job cards to carry out approved repairs and maintenance.
Carry out used vehicle checks, inspections, and preparation to company and manufacturer standards.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults.
Remove and refit parts across a range of multi-brand vehicles.
Complete MOT tests (or train towards certification) and ensure compliance with regulations.
Carry out servicing, brakes, tyres, and wheel alignment as required.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, quality checking your own work.
Maintain accurate job cards and workshop records.
Ensure vehicles are ready for delivery within agreed timeframes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Ideally, we are looking for:
Good knowledge of multi-brand cars and vans.
Previous mechanical and/or electrical experience.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
Full, clean driving licence.
MOT licence preferred (or willingness to train).
Experience with Stellantis brands or within a franchised environment is advantageous.
