Our client is one of the fastest growing Private Credit firms in London currently. They now have 4 funds targeting medium sized companies and are one of the rare firms that exceeded their fund-raising target this year. Through growth, they are looking to hire a Fund Controller who will manage the outsourced accountants and partner heavily with the investment team.
This role will report directly into the CFO and work within a team of 3 who operate on a very flat structure. Each person in the team focuses on different funds, which means you have end to end exposure across every element of the fund. They outsource all reporting to their fund administrators (Jersey and/or Lux based) which frees up more time to support with ongoing portfolio monitoring and analysis. One of the funds this role will focus on is nearing the end of its fundraising cycle. As a result, the role will have exposure across various fundraising activities, systems projects and provide modelling suppNAVort to the investment team. On a periodic basis you shall be responsible for investor reporting (detailing fund performance and distributions), valuations, and fund financial statements.
They are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with experience in a fund accounting role (can be hedge fund, or closed ended fund). You will be required to build and manipulate investment/cashflow models, so it is vital to have excellent excel skills. Candidates must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable speaking to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
The team are looking to pay £80,000 plus 50% - 70% bonus (this was achieved by all staff over the last 3 years). The firm have a fantastic culture and are a highly collaborative team, as well as offering hybrid working as standard (3 days in the office).
