Year 5 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Birkenhead (Wirral)
Location: Birkenhead, Wirral Primary School
Start Date: 8th June 2026
End Date: December 2026 (potential to extend)
We are currently recruiting a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil on a 1:1 basis. The role will involve working closely with a child with additional needs including ADHD, trauma and attachment-related barriers to learning.
This is a rewarding long‑term opportunity for someone who is calm, patient and passionate about making a real difference.
Responsibilities
* Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
* Adapt learning to meet individual needs
* Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO
