We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to become a key part of our committed team. You will take a leading role in managing a varied caseload, tackling complex and high-risk situations to secure positive outcomes for vulnerable adults, children, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments to understand client needs, devise comprehensive care and support plans, and liaise with external support services within financial limits.
* Employ a variety of evidence-based interventions to provide all-encompassing support to individuals and families, ensuring their multifaceted needs are met effectively.
* Act as a protector of safety for adults and children at risk, respond swiftly and sensitively in crisis situations, and proactively manage potential risks to clients.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to social work students and less experienced colleagues, and confidently chair a range of professional care and safeguarding meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree in Social Work or a related field, along with significant experience in statutory social work settings.
* A solid understanding of court processes, best interest assessments, and a history of making informed decisions in intricate cases.
* Expertise in two or more of the following specialisations:
o Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (Best Interests Assessor) / Liberty Protection Scheme (Approved Mental Capacity Professional – AMCP when implemented).
o Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
o Children Related Specialisms (e.g., Achieve Best Evidence, Advanced Safeguarding, Section 47).
