NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership provides Clinical Logistics Transport Services across all Health Boards in Wales via its Health Courier Service, and is seeking Driver/Storekeeper staff to join this service based in the following areas: • North Wales Area – Wrexham, Denbigh • Mid Wales Area – Powys, Machynlleth • South Wales Area – Cardiff, Bridgend, Newport • West Wales Area – Swansea, Carmarthen On average, the service sorts (via its own mail sorting hubs), delivers and collects over, items of mail/medical notes per week, and transports in excess of million movements of samples of Blood Products and Pathology in accordance with Accord Dangereux Routier, Good Manufacturing Practice & legislative requirements per year. Our core services operates between am and pm Monday to Friday. However, we do operate a small range of services hours a day. Main duties of the job As a Health Courier Service Driver/Storekeeper you will be responsible for stock items in stores centres and also for the safe and secure transport, distribution and replenishment of NHS Pathology, Blood/Blood Products, Secure and Non-Secure Stationery, Laundry, Mail/Records and Stock items such as medical consumables ( needles/syringes/containers) that are distributed to primary health care sites; (Hospitals, GP practices, pharmacies, opticians, dental surgeries) across NHS Wales.
