As we continue to grow our presence across the UK and beyond, we’re seeking an exceptional Director of Sales to lead the commercial strategy at Holland House Hotel & Spa – part of the Sunday Hotels collection. Set in the heart of vibrant Cardiff, this 165-room, 4-star hotel is one of the city’s most iconic luxury destinations, renowned for its award-winning spa, 15-metre heated swimming pool, modern fitness center, and extensive conferencing and banqueting spaces. With capacity for up to 700 guests, it’s a favorite for corporate events, weddings, and high-profile gatherings.

Your Role
As our Director of Sales, you’ll be at the helm of strategy and execution across corporate, leisure, MICE, and group segments—crafting partnerships that go beyond bookings and building a high-performing team that thrives on success.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive and deliver robust sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
* Lead, inspire, and mentor a results-driven sales team across all segments
* Expand our client base—engaging with corporates, event organisers, luxury travel agents, and more
* Collaborate with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to align strategies and optimise performance
* Negotiate and close high-value contracts, ensuring profitability and brand alignment
* Represent the hotel at trade events, expos, and key networking functions
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve
* Report key insights, forecasts, and KPIs to senior stakeholders
What Sets You Apart
* Proven senior-level sales experience in a luxury hotel environment
* A track record of smashing revenue targets and building strong client relationships
* Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and adaptability
* Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Deep understanding of MICE, group, and leisure markets
* Proficiency in CRM and sales performance tools
* A degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or similar is preferred
* Full UK Driving Licence
