The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our team, ensuring the smooth operational running of the nursery. You will play a key role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, supporting staff, and working closely with parents.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring high standards of care and education
2. Manage enrolments, registrations, and funding applications
3. Maintain accurate financial records, invoicing, and fee collection
4. Recruit, lead, inspire, and support staff, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
5. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, policies and procedures, and EYFS standards
6. Develop strong relationships with parents, the local authority, and external professionals
7. Monitor occupancy, manage staff rotas, and oversee transitions between rooms
8. Conduct audits, quality assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
1. Level 3 or above in Childcare, Early Years, or related field (Level 5 preferred)
2. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
3. Experience in a nursery management or senior leadership role for at least 2 years
4. A proven history of successfully managing settings to achieve a 'good' or above grading.
5. Knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding policies
6. A passion for early years education and a commitment to providing outstanding childcare
