About The Role
Security Support Officer required to to support our client which is located just outside of Winchester. Salary: £13.00 per hour
Contract: 0hrs flexible, to cover predominantly day shifts 07:00 - 19:00 and some night shifts 19:00 - 07:00
The ideal candidate will live locally (Southampton, Salisbury, Andover or Basingstoke areas), and ideally will have own transport as the site is difficult to access by public transport.
Must have SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and be slightly conversant with computers (Word/Excel)
What you will be doing?
1. Working within the Mobile Security Team, driving a dedicated vehicle, attend sites as directed, investigate alarms, complete patrols, utilise technology and provide emergency guarding to meet customer needs.
2. Create a secure environment, in which our customers, their employees and visitors are able to thrive.
3. Promote confidence with every customer, colleague and stakeholder through effective decision making, communication and professional security standards.
4. Follow Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and customer policy at all times.
5. Respond in an effective manner to incidents, alarms, events, escalating to the Emergency Services, the Customer and the Security Operations Centre, as appropriate.
6. Ensure that colleagues, customers and the public have a positive experience when engaging with Security.
7. Complete planned rota and agreed shifts to provide security cover to meet customer needs.
8. Utilise TRACKTIK to complete patrols and reporting of incidents/ alarms.
9. Promote a culture of safety, awareness of H&S risks and accident/ near miss reporting.
10. Secure the property of customers, employees and visitors secure at all times.
11. Prevent unauthorised access to site, whether by a person, vehicle or object.
12. Respond to unplanned events or incidences promptly, following the process and procedures outlined in the site Assignment Instructions.
13. Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
14. Engage with training & development activity provided, ensuring you have the skills to complete your tasks.
15. Complete Site Visits to validate security standards, report risks and promote security compliance.
16. Complete vehicle inspections, ensure that the vehicle is safe and maintained at all times.
About You
Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
17. 5 Years’ experience in the security industry (Desirable).
18. Full UK driving license
19. SIA license – Security Guard/ DS
20. SIA license – CCTV (Depending on site)
21. IT Systems (User Level)
22. L3 in First Aid (Desirable)
