Edmundson are looking for a minimum of 8 graduates to join their head office team within their accounting, auditing and systems departments.
As a Graduate Financial Accountant you will learn how the accounting world works whilst gaining CIMA qualification! This is something you will study during the first 4 years of your employment and will be fully funded by Edmundson Electrical to see you become a fully qualified Accountant.
So what might your day to day duties consist of?
5. Supporting the preparation of month-end/year-end management accounts
6. Balance sheet reconciliation
7. Corporation tax analysis
8. Preparation of VAT return
9. P&L and balance sheet variance analysis
10. Fixed asset accounting
11. Supplier rebate/Customer rebate accounting
12. Authorisation of payments to third parties
You will liaise on a daily basis with other departments and trading locations across Edmundson Electrical businesses as a whole and must feel comfortable speaking with a variety of people, querying things that may not appear correct and questioning accounts (mainly done over the phone).
Progression upon completing of qualifications into a Managing Accountant role and potentially Team Leader in future.

13. Educated to degree level (preferred)
14. Well-presented and willing to work in an office environment of young professionals
15. Commutable to either Knutsford 5 days a week
16. Preferably have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
17. Strong communication and team working skills
18. Ability to hit tight deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
19. This role requires you to work overtime (this is paid in addition to your salary). Please note that the periods of overtime tend to fall within first few working days of each month and also throughout January (year-end).

20. £29,000 Base Salary + overtime
