The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) brings together the local authorities of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield and to serve the communities and businesses of South Yorkshire. From transport to housing, from business growth to skills, the MCA has a great story to tell. We have ambitions to deliver recovery and renewal for people, businesses and places across South Yorkshire.

Please note that SYMCA follows a structured salary grading system for all roles, and the offered salary for each post will be at the starting point within the specified grade. Key Responsibilities

We’re delivering a major digital transformation – starting with a new CRM that will change how we work with the people and communities of South Yorkshire. We’re also improving how we use Microsoft 365 and building a new data platform to support smarter, faster ways of working.

As our Adoption and Change Management Officer, you’ll lead the work that helps people across the organisation understand what’s changing, why it matters, and how to get the most out of it.

This is a visible, hands-on role. You’ll be out in the organisation – running training, creating guidance, answering questions, and helping teams build confidence with new tools. You’ll be the go-to person for making change feel simple, clear, and accessible.

Your work will have real impact. By supporting staff to adopt new systems, you’ll help deliver better services for residents, businesses, and communities across South Yorkshire.

In this role, you’ll:

* Lead adoption and change activities for our new CRM and other digital projects
* Map who’s affected by change and design the right support
* Deliver clear, practical communications that explain what’s changing and why
* Run training sessions, workshops and drop-ins to build digital skills
* Create simple user guidance – quick tips, how-to guides and FAQs
* Track adoption by monitoring usage and gathering feedback
* Identify risks and blockers to adoption and help resolve them
* Promote a culture of digital confidence and continuous improvement

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

* Experience applying change and adoption methods in digital projects
* A background supporting CRM or enterprise system rollouts
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
* Awareness of AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and how they fit into the M365 ecosystem
* Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with different audiences
* The confidence to build relationships and influence behaviour across the organisation
* A commitment to inclusion and accessibility in how change is delivered
