We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support. We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Recovery Navigator - Core Team
Permanent - Full time, 37 hours per week

About Us
An exciting opportunity is available within our Fast Track team. We complete comprehensive assessments with individuals then deliver psycho-social interventions and support them to build their recovery capital. We support a range of adults with various substance related issues including alcohol, non-opiates, OTC medication and recreational drugs. We provide information, advice, and professional support to empower individuals to make healthier choices regarding alcohol and drug use. Our mission is to enhance safety and promote recovery through a comprehensive range of services, delivered by experienced local providers, ensuring no one is left without the assistance they need, no matter the complexity of their needs. Likewise, is commissioned by Sheffield City Council and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals can develop essential life skills, regain confidence, and achieve lasting recovery. We believe in helping our service users reintegrate into society as active, contributing citizens.
About the Role
We are excited to recruit more recovery navigators to join our expanding service to work within our Core Team and Fast Track team. This role will work with service users presenting with opiates, alcohol or non-opiates use.
Key Duties
* Manage a caseload, devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
* Facilitate and promote individuals progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
* Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
* Work collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.

Salary note The salary advertised demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, with starting salaries allowing for pay progression within the pay band.

About You
Whether you come from a strong background in the substance misuse sector, have experience in mental health support, have a history in the criminal justice field, or possess a relevant academic background, we welcome you to join our diverse team. We believe that various experiences contribute to our mission. Specifically, we are seeking individuals with one or more of the following professional experiences:
* Substance misuse background
* Mental health background
* Criminal justice background
* A relevant academic background such as Criminology, Psychology, Law or Sociology
* A strong portfolio of volunteering in a similar role
* Case management experience and the ability to manage expectations in this emotionally demanding role
