The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Liverpool starting in September 2025. This full-time role involves supporting students across KS3 and KS4, helping them to access the curriculum, manage behaviour, and achieve academic progress.
You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted support, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, while fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Requirements
Desirable for this Learning Support Assistant role:
Experience supporting students in a secondary school setting
Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with young people
Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining engagement
A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and SEN staff
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
