About you
Warehousing and operations will be where you feel at home. It is likely you will have held a leadership role for a minimum of 1 year and have a great track record of managing your team to be successful, working to and exceeding productivity whilst delivering a great service to our customer.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead a team, driving engagement whilst role modelling ID Logistics values
* Maintain high standards of communication with your teams
* Coach colleagues to be the best they can be, through continuous development, ongoing coaching and feedback including regular 121 job chats as well as more formal performance review processes
* Hold regular 121 job chat sessions with warehouse colleagues to discuss overall performance, opportunities and development with a clear eye on future potential, and succession planning.
* Deliver effective and meaningful shift briefs and regular briefs to your teams, ensuring clear communication channels of relevant and key information
* Organise teams effectively, allocating work whilst monitoring progress to ensure workload/tasks are completed to meet customer service requirements,
* Deliver effective people management processes, in line with Company Policy, ensuring that key people activities are processed in a timely manner (ie payroll)
* Prioritise the needs of the Customer, demonstrating and promoting a customer focused approach within all operational activities and decision making
* Deliver continued and sustained KPI performance, understanding the business/cost implications of decisions made
* Use forecasts and trends to plan for both short- and long-term requirements
* Accountable to the Quality Control of dispatch sortation items
* Maintain the accuracy and security of stock through the appropriate systems and procedures and compliance to agreed processes
* Work collaboratively with other colleagues within the operation to deliver site results
* Have Health and Safety at the forefront of your mind and co-ordinate regular H&S checks on site
* Have a mindset of continuous improvement, with a focus on how the operation to best deliver for our customer
Your skills & experience
* Ideally you will have at least 12 months experience in or stepping up into a Leadership position
* Previous experience working within a warehouse / logistics operation
* You will hold, currently be studying for or be happy to take on studying a Level 3 Leadership (or equivalent) qualification
* Proven experience working to drive performance and thrive in a performance and results orientated environment
* Be able to demonstrate how you have a people first leadership style, always working to engage and motivate your team
* Be agile, able to respond to changes and supporting new initiatives
* You will be a strong communicator, able to work with and influence where necessary your colleagues, piers, managers and other key stakeholders
