Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs within a dedicated specialist provision
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist SEN provision in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, supporting pupils with needs ranging from mild learning difficulties to complex SEN and SEMH.
This Behaviour Mentor position focuses on providing consistent behavioural support, emotional regulation strategies, and positive role modelling for pupils who require structured intervention to thrive academically and socially. Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, the role involves close collaboration with teachers, SEN professionals, and pastoral teams.
You will work one-to-one and in small groups, aiding pupils manage behaviour, develop resilience, and re-engage with learning. The role is ideal for someone passionate about inclusion and long-term pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
Implementing behaviour intervention plans
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews
Requirements:
Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils
Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
