The Role To be accountable to the Team Leader for leading the team and to participate in direct care of the service users. Ensure the team work in a pro-active, responsive, effective and person-centred way to ensure that the lives of the people you and the team being supported are enriched. Key Responsibilities: * Manage rotas ensuring these are used to the best effect for the physical; social and emotional care of the service users. This includes but it’s not limited to: * Be a key member of the rostering team. * Take responsibility for all elements of the rostering process to ensure adequate shift coverage and that employees are paid correctly first time by submitting accurate rostering sheets to payroll. * Ensure that agency is only used as last resort and that approval is sought appropriately. * Ensure that all agency staff undergo induction. * Provide flexible cover for colleagues in the event of holidays, sickness and emergencies. * To lead, direct, supervise and support staff working within the service in providing a network of services which can respond flexibly to the needs of the service users as individuals.
