About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Office Assistant
to join our team. This is a varied role that combines general office administration with support for our accounts department. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mathematical and numeric skills to develop their career, with the potential for further training in accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting the accounts team with day-to-day tasks, including:
* Chasing purchase orders
* Checking delivery dates with suppliers
* Preparing and composing statements
* Handling proofs of delivery (PODs)
* Supporting other basic accounts functions as required
* Providing general office support, such as:
* Answering incoming telephone calls with a
polite and professional manner
* Responding to and managing emails
* Handling office correspondence and documentation
* Supporting colleagues with administrative tasks as needed
Skills & Requirements
* Excellent mathematics and numeric skills

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* A polite, professional telephone manner
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
* Friendly and approachable, able to work well as part of a
