This role acts as a bridge between IT and the business to ensure seamless system integration with business needs and serves as the first point of contact for user queries at the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service.
About the role:
* £20.44 per hour
* 36 hours a week
* Location: Lisburn HQ
* Temporary up to 6 months with possible extension
What you'll be doing in this role:
* Manage all aspects of the Operational Assurance & Improvement (OA&I) business support function to ensure excellent customer service.
* Lead the management and maintenance of the Operational Assurance & Improvement Management Information System, providing guidance and advice to users, ensuring compliance and governance.
* Manage infrastructure and licensing requirements.
* Coordinate the management of the Operational Assurance information system, working with IT departments and service providers.
* Act as the primary contact for Operational Assurance & Improvement systems, including development, fault management, and queries.
* Assist in developing strategies, policies, and procedures to support management information and SharePoint systems.
* Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on system administration, including preparing materials and delivering training sessions.
* Ensure assurance processes are managed according to corporate standards, maintaining operational assurance records.
* Collaborate with senior managers to produce accurate operational assurance reports and records.
* Maintain up-to-date records of operational assurance activities and follow-ups.
* Administer operational assurance systems and perform analyses.
What you'll need for this role:
* HND or equivalent qualification in information technology, systems management, or business management.
* At least two years’ recent experience supporting and developing management information systems or SharePoint sites, with knowledge of data handling and management of personal information.
* Experience in developing and producing standard reports.
* Experience in process improvement using MIS systems.
* Valid driving license or access to transport to meet the job requirements.
