Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and supervising kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and recipe creation
- Oversee food production processes to maintain high-quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in training kitchen staff on culinary techniques and safety procedures
- Supervise kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Help create a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food production, safety, and sanitation practices
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in supervising kitchen staff and leading by example
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field is a plus
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
