Job Description
We are seeking for an experienced Oracle DBA to join its Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex Database Server solutions for mid to enterprise level organisations. We are looking for an individual who enjoys a fast pace, can prioritise workload, and can work under their own initiative. You will have solid background in implementing and supporting Oracle technologies.
You will work within a blended team of junior DBA’s right up to Principal Oracle consultants and have plenty of opportunities to develop skills across the entire Oracle stack. Within this team we actively encourage knowledge sharing and regularly identify gaps for training and personal progression. We currently support and implement projects for a large number of clients across several industry sectors. This gives the opportunity to gain exposure and “hands on” experience to different technologies and platforms from on-premise solutions to Cloud (OCI, AWS and Azure).

Qualifications
8. Being eligible for Security Clearance in the UK
9. 10 years minimum experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Database environments from versions 11g upwards
10. Excellent performance tuning and optimization skills are essential.
11. Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic) with Oracle Forms and Reports required
12. Experience in migrating to Oracle OCI and AWS RDS desirable
13. Knowledge of Oracle Exadata Database Machine.
14. Migration experience to Oracle Exadata Database Machine, on-premise, Exadata Cloud @ Customer or Exadata Cloud Services desirable
15. Oracle APEX, RAC, Golden Gate, ODI and Red Hat Linux skills would be good to have.
16. Working knowledge of Java application server admin (Tomcat, JBoss etc)
17. Solid experience with disaster recovery methods and capacity planning.
18. Experience in upgrading/migrating large and multiple database environment.
19. Ability to work under pressure, handle complex change and prioritize key activities.
20. Preparing the inventory, preparing, and proving procedures, looking at pre-requisites, training and identifying the migration approach for migrations to be conducted.
21. Full migration lifecycle activities including, but not limited to detailed analysis, design, development, test, user acceptance test support and production implementation.
22. Identifying and correcting performance issues, reviewing systems and error logs, storage management, backups, job monitoring, optimization efforts, data integrity analysis and resolving database contention issues.
23. Experience with third party backup and monitoring tools.
