The Role:
NMITE is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing & Events Coordinator to help promote our institution, engage audiences, and support student recruitment through compelling marketing campaigns and impactful events. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment, you’ll be part of a small but high-energy team that works across multiple channels and formats to bring NMITE’s story to life.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills across digital marketing, content creation, event coordination, email communications, and brand engagement—while directly contributing to the success of a pioneering institution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supported by the academic outreach team, you will coordinate, deliver, and evaluate various NMITE events, including open days, campus visits, experience days and other on-and-off campus events.
* You will oversee the schedule of external student recruitment events, ensuring staff and students are briefed, prepared, and able to represent NMITE effectively. You’ll frequently attend and represent NMITE at these events.
* You’ll support the development and implementation of NMITE’s marketing campaigns that will drive student recruitment, increase brand awareness, and promote university initiatives, working under the leadership of the Head of Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment.
* You’ll work collaboratively with the wider marketing team to produce regular email marketing campaigns directed towards the range of NMITE audiences.
* You’ll support and help enhance NMITE’s digital presence across platforms, including the website and external profiles.
* You’ll maintain professional and up-to-date technical knowledge of developments in marketing and education.
* You’ll utilise strong attention to detail to support the maintenance and administration of marketing, communications and student recruitment data.
* You will have the opportunity to develop your marketing and communications know-how whilst working closely with a multi-skilled team.
As NMITE’s Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will:
* Coordinate and oversee the delivery, administration, and evaluation of student recruitment events, including open days.
* Take responsibility for logistical arrangements relating to open days and other on-campus events, including liaison with external and internal suppliers and service providers
* Manage event budgets, timelines, and post-event evaluations to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
* Effectively supervise the work of Student Ambassadors, making decisions in accordance with established policy and procedures, where appropriate
* Represent NMITE at external events like HE and careers fairs, including preparing and delivering presentations.
* Plan, execute, and monitor email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and disseminate important information to prospective students, current students, and other stakeholders using appropriate systems.
* Support the development and enhancement of NMITE’s digital channels, including the website.
* Support the Digital Marketing Manager with implementing multi-channel campaigns to various audiences.
* Develop compelling and engaging content utilising strong copywriting skills to promote the NMITE brand and values.
* Manage data and support conversion of enquiries through to the next stage in their journey through identifying opportunities and trends, e.g. conversion from a degree enquiry to an application.

* Are confident using CRM systems and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.
* Have excellent copywriting and content creation skills, with an eye for design.
* Are well-organised, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple priorities at once.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Educated to HNC level or equivalent experience—ideally within marketing and/or events.
* Experience coordinating events and delivering marketing communications.
* Knowledge of digital platforms and email tools.
* Design skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe) are desirable.
* Higher Education sector experience is desirable.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
