Role Overview
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Social Care Team Manager to join the Children’s Safeguarding Team in Rochdale. Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership and oversight to a high-performing Children’s Safeguarding Team.
Champion the implementation of the Family Safeguarding Model, using a trauma-informed and motivational interviewing approach.
Work directly with families, focusing on building strengths and achieving long-term positive outcomes.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including domestic abuse practitioners, and drug and alcohol workers, to deliver holistic, joined-up support.
Manage safeguarding risks and promote the goal of keeping children safely with their families wherever possible.
Person Specification
Proven experience in managing or leading within a children’s safeguarding setting.
Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and the Family Safeguarding Model.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
A forward-thinking, solution-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
