Overview
We are looking for a fully qualified secondary Social Subjects teacher with experience in ASN to work in a secondary ASN Base. The successful candidate will lead curricular development and delivery in BGE Social Subjects within the ASN Base.
We are a South Lanarkshire ASN Base provision within a mainstream secondary school for secondary learners with a wide range of additional support needs. At Duncanrig we aim to provide an exceptional learning experience for all learners.
Responsibilities
* You will deliver the Curriculum for Excellence and plan challenging and meaningful learning experiences for learners with a range of additional support needs.
* Carry out the range of duties outlined in Annexe B of "A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century".
* Lead curricular development and delivery in BGE Social Subjects within the ASN Base.
* Contribute to whole school initiatives and support a learning environment that benefits a diverse community of learners.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Fully qualified secondary Social Subjects teacher with experience in ASN.
* Experience working in partnership to maximise learners\' potential.
* Registered with GTC Scotland (legal requirement for teaching in a Scottish state school).
* Ability to evidence commitment to developing a learning environment that benefits a diverse community of learners.
Working Arrangements and Salary
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary: Main Grade Teacher Scale, £40,305 - £50,589 per year.
Contract: Permanent Post.
