Salary: Up to £48,000
An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced and qualified professional to join the team at one of our client's residential homes for children. We are a continually expanding organisation that provides a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including a custom training program and generous remuneration for sleep-in shifts. Our specialisation is in supporting children and young people who have experienced early-life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may exhibit challenging behaviours.
Responsibilities
* Managing a residential home and ensuring its effective operation in line with relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
* Supporting the staff who work with our young people to achieve the highest standards of care.
* Participating in team recruitment, which involves vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees.
* Contributing to a thorough team training and development program to ensure the service has all the necessary skills and expertise to meet the needs of the young people.
* Supporting the team to promote longevity and good staff retention.
* Liaising with various internal and external multi-disciplinary teams and commissioning authorities to ensure the care needs of new and existing children and young people are met.
* Being accountable for and taking responsibility for liaising with regulatory organisations regarding the management of the home.
* Registering with the regulator and upholding the requirements and conditions of this registration.
* Participating in an on-call system.
* Any other duties that may be required from time to time by the operational managers or their authorised representatives.
Job Requirements
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services; an equivalent qualification; or a willingness to work toward the same.
* Prior experience at a senior level in a residential children's home.
* A full manual driving license.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development to support the needs of our young people.
