Business Development Executive – IT Managed Services

Role Overview
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving new business growth across our Managed IT Services portfolio. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams, you’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, qualifying opportunities, and generating a strong pipeline of meetings and sales opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long‑term career in business development, IT sales, or account management within a fast‑growing managed services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting
* Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
* Follow up and develop inbound and marketing‑qualified leads.
* Understand customer needs and qualify opportunities against our Managed Services offerings.
* Book and support discovery meetings for Managed Services specialists and sales colleagues.
* Support targeted business development campaigns and attend webinars, events, and exhibitions when required.
Pipeline Management & Reporting
* Work with Marketing to deliver sector‑focused business development activity.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records, tracking activity and opportunity progress.
* Report on pipeline creation, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
Customer Engagement & Internal Collaboration
* Develop a strong understanding of Managed IT Services including support, cloud, backup, networking, and cybersecurity.
* Clearly articulate the commercial and operational value of outsourced IT solutions.
* Collaborate closely with account managers, service teams, and technical specialists to support the full customer journey.
* Provide feedback on market trends, customer challenges, and competitor activity to help refine messaging and positioning.

* Experience in business development, lead generation, telesales, or inside sales (B2B and IT experience preferred).
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
