HR Generalist – Trial Period Management
Location: Central Essex (3 days per week on site – parking available)
Rate: £170–£190 per day (via umbrella, depending on experience)
Contract: 3 months
Are you passionate about supporting people through change? We’re looking for a proactive and compassionate HR professional to play a vital role in helping colleagues settle successfully into new roles following a recent restructure.
This is a highly operational role where you’ll combine practical HR expertise with a genuine commitment to helping others thrive. Working closely with managers and employees, you’ll ensure that everyone going through a trial period has the guidance, training and support they need to make a positive transition.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing hands-on HR support to managers overseeing employee trial periods.
Ensuring compliance with policies on suitable alternative employment, while keeping people at the heart of every process.
Maintaining accurate reporting and tracking progress through spreadsheets and regular updates.
Following up with employees and managers to ensure timely completion of documentation and feedback.
Making sure colleagues on trial periods receive the right support, training and encouragement to succeed.
Working closely with and reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience supporting restructures, trial periods, or suitable alternative employment processes.
A strong operational HR background with excellent attention to detail and confident reporting skills.
Someone who is approachable, organised and able to build trusted relationships across all levels.
Comfortable with data and reporting, but equally motivated by seeing people grow and succeed.
Experience within the non-profit or housing sector is highly desirable, though we’re open to applications from all backgrounds.
