Job Overview:
The Warehouse Loader/Unloader Specialist is responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of goods in a warehouse environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that products are handled safely and accurately, contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain and logistics operations.
Location: Bolsover, Chesterfield
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift Available:
* Monday-Friday Days: (06:00 AM - 06:00 PM)
* Monday-Friday Nights: (06:00 PM - 06:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely load and unload products from trucks, containers, and pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand tools, adhering to safety protocols.
* Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies before loading and unloading, reporting any issues to the warehouse supervisor.
* Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational guidelines.(if certified)
* Work closely with team members and supervisors to coordinate loading schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that loading and unloading areas are safe and free from hazards.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred, particularly in loading and unloading operations.
* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate handling and documentation of goods.
* Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Skills:
* Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
* Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
* A valid forklift certification is a plus.
* Willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing as part of the hiring process.
