This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and integration of the ‘Unified care pathway for patients with postmenopausal bleeding (PMB)’. The role involves providing effective project management to facilitate the creation, implementation, and evaluation of the new pathway.
The introduction of the faster diagnostic unified care pathway for PMB will enable urgent cancer referrals to be easily accessible by both patients and clinicians through a single point of access. This pathway aims to reduce inequalities of access, decrease workload for primary care, and facilitate real-time control of the entire PMB pathway to ensure sufficient capacity for further investigations or treatments, such as hysteroscopy or polypectomy.
There Are Three Main Elements To The Project:
1. The setup, production, and maintenance of the digital/telephone interface for patients and clinicians.
2. Establishing central and peripheral community clinics to manage the diagnostic caseload efficiently.
3. Producing a business case for the continuation of the project beyond the SWAG funding period.
The appointed candidate will be responsible for adhering to time and budget constraints while maintaining quality. They will deliver the project using appropriate project management techniques and the Improving Together methodology. The successful candidate will work within the Gynaecology Department alongside clinicians and managers to facilitate the development and implementation of the pathway.
