Finance Officer (3‑Month Temporary Contract) Could potentially go permanent for the right candidate. Location: Southend (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)

Start: ASAPYour Newpany is an established organisation in the Southend area and is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied finance role and can confidently support operational finance activities.Your New Role Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will support day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure strong financialernance.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and corporate accounts.
2. Raising, tracking, and escalating debtor invoices, and maintaining a clear debtor process.
3. Processing and coding invoices accurately and on time.
4. Supporting audits,pliance, and ongoing financial policy reviews.
5. Maintaining supplier, contract, and asset registers.
6. Supporting managers with queries relating to invoicing, petty cash, credit cards, banking and expenses.
7. Managing bank account administration, reconciliations, and petty cash.
8. Producing monthly debtor reports for senior stakeholders.
9. Acting as the finance point of contact for private client contracts, ensuring correct documentation is in place.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
10. Intermediate Excel skills (including formulas, lookups, pivot tables).
11. Experience in operational finance and financial administration.
12. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
13. Ability to work independently andmunicate confidently with stakeholders.
