The roles and responsibilities of the Production Manager:
Lead and manage a small production team to ensure efficient, high-quality output.
Coordinate daily production schedules in line with project deadlines and customer requirements.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards across the production area.
Monitor and maintain production processes, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
Oversee the maintenance and calibration of equipment and tools.
Act as the key communication bridge between the production floor and the sales/office teams.
Manage inventory levels effectively, liaising with procurement to maintain material availability while minimizing waste.
Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce inefficiencies.
Maintain and enforce a strong health and safety culture within the team.
Track and report key production metrics, including labour efficiency, material usage, and quality control.
Quickly identify and resolve production issues to prevent delays and uphold product standards.
Support, train, and develop team members to encourage growth and improve overall team capability.
Ensure all products meet customer specifications and are delivered on time to the highest quality.
Requirements of the Production Manager:
Proven experience in a production supervisory or leadership role, ideally within manufacturing.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health & safety practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong communication and organisational abilities.
Experience managing small teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
