The business has grown enormously and is committed to ensuring that energy from waste becomes an integral part of London's energy supply. Its innovative carbon capture and storage programme is set to reduce carbon emissions for several million people in London and the South East.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Communications Manager for a 12‑month (maternity cover) full‑time contract, with flexibility in days contracted (between 3‑5). The role is set to start in June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Develop internal communications across a number of channels, seeking stories to build stronger stakeholder relations and deepen employee and customer connections.
- Proactively deliver media relations, an active events programme, social and digital output, and engage with all aspects of the communications plan.
Qualifications
- Exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to run with a range of communication challenges.
- Agency background preferred, with the ability to operate at Board level.
- Attitude of quick‑thinking, willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
- Interest in the commercial and political landscapes.
- Sector knowledge is not a prerequisite.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
