and What You'll Be Doing
We have got a fantastic opportunity for a Medico Legal Records (MLR) Nurse to join our MLR team.
This role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, working remotely from home.
The main responsibilities will include:
1. Sort, index, pagination of digital medical records for Personal Injury clients.
2. Preparation of a medical chronology and radiology schedule.
3. Identification of crucial missing records.
4. Interpret abbreviations, handwriting and medical terminology where required.
5. 35 hours per week (with the ability to work these flexibly and from home).
About You
As our ideal candidate for this role, you'll have:
6. A minimum of 10 years clinical experience.
7. Demonstrated experience in a Band 6 minimum clinical position.
8. Confidence and competence in using a range of technology tools, including AI‑powered systems, to support efficient and effective working.
9. A degree or equivalent, in Nursing or Midwifery.
10. Versatility in other clinical areas if education or experience is particularly specialised.
11. Excellent IT literacy – previous use of Microsoft programmes and Adobe necessary.
12. An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality.
13. Experience in a similar role.
Desirable
14. Clinical experience in the following areas – Theatre, Critical Care, Orthopaedics, Tissue Viability, Diabetes, Practice Nursing/Community Nursing.
15. The ability to work as part of a team.
16. A confidential and professional manner.
17. High standards of personal presentation.
18. Excellent communication skills.
19. The ability to work on your own initiative.
20. The ability to comfortably to liaise with range of people.
21. Excellent attendance record.
22. The ability to cope under pressure.
