Coded Welder / Fabricator – AM Shift
£33,207 – £35,350 per annum DOE
We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing and ambitious engineering manufacturer based in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Coded Welder / Fabricator to join a forward-thinking production team operating at the forefront of its industry.
Working Hours
37½ hours per week:
1. Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
The Role
Reporting to the Welding Supervisor, you will join a skilled Welding team, carrying out high-quality fabrication and coded welding activities within a structured manufacturing environment.
You will be fully supported in your role and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
2. Carrying out fabrication and welding duties as directed by the Welding Supervisor
3. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (primarily Third Angle Projection)
4. Ensuring strict adherence to company procedures and Health & Safety policies
5. Participating in quality control processes and reporting defects immediately
6. Conducting MPI and Dye Pen inspections where required
7. Completing administrative tasks, including booking jobs via EPICOR MRP and recording Welder Qualification information
8. Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and demonstrating 5S practices
9. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing principles
10. Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards
Requirements
11. Certified / coded welder
12. Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience within a manufacturing environment
13. Strong fabrication experience
14. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
15. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
16. Computer literacy
