A fantastic opportunity to join this leading institution,mitted to excellence in education and research. This public sector organisation is looking to recruit a payroll assistant initially on a temporary basis with the potential for this to be extended. You will join this established team on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week.
Your new role
Some of the day-to-day duties will include running the payroll and conducting regular checks for processing bank payments, running payroll and pension reports and returns in line with statutory requirements and deadlines, including P11d, Year End reconciliations.
You will be working closely with the wider payroll operations team to ensure things are conducted efficiently, reporting directly to the payroll manager. You will need to have good organisational skills andputer skills with experience working with Excel, Word and MS Outlook and HR, Payroll systems and Finance systems.
Desired skills, using Resource Link and Oracle finance systems.
What you'll need to succeed
Show initiative to be able to work well within a team and show flexibility in assisting with ad hoc requests. Be efficient when working to tight payroll deadlines andplete work to a high level of accuracy. You will also demonstrate strongmunication skills through supporting the wider payroll team and employees with general payroll enquiries.
