We're seeking a proactive and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join this dynamic team and help keep their financial operations running smoothly.As Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing purchase and nominal ledgers using Sage Accounting Processing invoices, cheque requisitions, and payments with accuracy and timeliness Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts Maintaining petty cash and banking income Assisting with insurance claims and financial reporting Supporting improvements to financial systems and procedures What you'll need to succeed We're looking for someone who is: Highly numerate with a good level of literacy Experienced in maintaining accounting systems (minimum 2 years) Skilled in Sage Accounting and Payroll Organised, methodical, and able to prioritise tasks effectively Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Diplomatic and professional in liaising with suppliers, agencies, and colleagues What you'll get in return Flexible working options available.
