# Engineering Supervisor### Job Introduction* **2 Positions (1 at **Medway Campus and** 1 at **Greenwich****Campus)***** **40hours per week*** **Monday to Friday*** **From £44,000 plus excellent benefits*** **26days annual leave excluding Public Holidays**We’re currently looking for a skilled and motivated **Engineering Supervisor** to join our Technical Services team based at the **Medway and** **Greenwich****Campus,** **University of Greenwich**.In this role, you'll be leading the on-site residential M&E team overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, and playing a hands-on part in both planned and reactive maintenance. You’ll be a key point of contact for ensuring the smooth running of essential building services across the campus, working closely with our Engineering Lead, Facilities Manager, and wider Sodexo team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and proven team management experience, looking to take ownership of a critical service in a high-profile university environment. If you enjoy leading from the front, problem-solving on the go, and want to work in a collaborative, purpose-led environment, this could be the perfect next step for you.**What you’ll do:*** Lead and supervise a team of on-site engineers, supporting performance, training, and development* Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems* Coordinate daily operations with the Helpdesk team to ensure timely response to service requests* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, Safe Systems of Work, and Permit to Work procedures* Carry out routine audits to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and documentation* Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers, from scheduling to quality assurance and safety checks***For a full list of responsibilities please view the attached job description*****What you bring:*** HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject* Extensive practical experience in building services and plant engineering with formal qualifications and relevant experience within a defined discipline, e.g. electrical, mechanical or similar.* Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems or similar* Experience working within or around World Heritage Listed properties, buildings and environments* Excellent communications both written and verbal.* Numerate and computer literate.* Previous experience of managing a team of engineersDesirable:* Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations* Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations* Membership of Institute of Leadership and Management* IOSH Managing Safety* Emergency first aid qualification* IOSH Managing Safety**What we offer:**Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
