Quality Lead – Children’s Residential Care Home based but with regular travel to homes Extensive knowledge of OFSTED and children’s care legislation is essential Compass Associated are delighted to be partnering with an ambitious and highly reputable social care provider which provide care to both Adults and children across the country. Together we are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead within Children's services. This role will be responsible for ensuring that services are striving for quality excellence in all they do and maintaining all regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: Support and monitor the implementation of our Quality Strategy. Audit services to ensure service delivery achieves full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements Act as a critical friend to provide advice and support in the preparation of action plans identified at quality/regulatory visits and assist with action plans. Monitor progress against agreed action plans Review complaints and incidents and provide information as required Provide advice and support to staff where there is a complex complaint or clinical incident. Review, develop and implement policies and procedures to support best practice in care and quality. About you: You will have experience of working within Quality Assurance framework with extensive knowledge of OFSTED requirements coupled with time spent working within social care. You will be supportive with excellent communication skills, particularly in report writing. You will be able to use your experience and knowledge to coach managers and enable their development. This role will require regular travel to visit each of the services to undertake audit visits and to support action plans. You will also be required to travel to either Manchester / Coventry for quartley meetings. Person Specification • Extensive knowledge of OFSTED and children’s care legislation • Experience in a quality role ideally within a children’s residential setting • Ability to self-motivate, work independently and prioritise effectively • Able to maintain a sense of objectivity whilst building good relationships with others • Must be a driver with own car • Role will involve regular travel and occasional overnight stays Recommendations Compass Associates Ltd is acting as a Recruitment Consultancy for this permanent vacancy; we offer £200 of John Lewis vouchers for each successful recommendation.
