Schedule:
Full time 37.5 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days across Monday – Sunday, between the hours 7am - 8pm.

As a Retail Catering Supervisor in our Retail Catering team, you'll help create a positive experience for colleagues, patients, and visitors by leading the delivery of attentive, efficient, and safe catering services every day.
You'll play a key part in supporting a service that touches lives across the hospital – helping us provide high quality food, a welcoming environment, and a smooth-running operation that contributes to a better future for the people who rely on us.
You'll Be Entrusted To
What you'll do as a Retail Catering Supervisor
* Co-ordinate and support colleagues to maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
* Oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensuring all service-critical tasks are completed on time
* Supervise and guide catering assistants, including allocating tasks and monitoring standards
* Support stock control processes, ensuring goods are stored safely and rotated correctly
* Assist with duty rotas, annual leave planning, and sickness cover
* Help develop departmental procedures and ensure compliance with policies and HACCP requirements
* Support recruitment, training, and development of catering assistants
* Reconcile cash takings from the restaurant, coffee shop, and vending areas in line with procedures
* Act as departmental lead in the manager's absence

* Experience supervising colleagues and supporting high work standards
* Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
* Strong communication and customer care skills
* Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP processes
* Experience working in large-scale catering environments
