gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a MRP Controller to work at their facility based near Wednesbury.
Performance Objectives
Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, item masters, and product-related data in Javelin.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all product and manufacturing records.
Identify and resolve data errors, discrepancies, or system issues.
Support users with Javelin navigation, troubleshooting, and best‑practice guidance.
Run MRP (Material Requirements Planning), review planning messages, and take appropriate action on material and production requirements.
Monitor capacity constraints and assist with production scheduling activities.
Produce and review system-generated reports on materials, production status, inventory, and performance metrics.
Create, release, update, and close work orders in line with production plans.
Raise Job Packs and ensure all documentation is correct and issued on time.
Generate and print WTLs (Work-To-List reports) or other production routing documents as required.
Maintain accurate records of WIP (Work in Progress) and shop-floor activity.
Maintain accurate stock records and ensure correct processing of stock transactions.
Support reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes.
Assist in monitoring material availability to support production requirements.
Populate and maintain the Quotation Register or other key business logs.
Provide regular system reports to production, engineering, and management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to ERP usage, data quality, and planning processes.Person Specification
Experience using Javelin ERP (or similar MRP/ERP systems) would be considered beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials planning, or production control.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with production.
Effective communication skills with the ability to support system users.
